Street art is important. Street art is also fragile. Street art is a visual representation of a community's voice. The mementoArtem Digital Street Art Archive Project is an attempt to digitally preserve contemporary mural artworks in line with emerging international archival standards. The project is publicly-funded using open source software and is deployed with the Arches Heritage Management system. The mementoArtem project operates in conjunction with the INSYTE-Cooley Research Laboratory (Centre for Information Systems and Techno-Culture), Dept. Computing and Mathematics, South East Technological University, Waterford, Ireland.
